The College of Biological Science and Technology (CBT) at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University functions (NYCU) as one entity and is composed of Department of Biological Science and Technology, Institute of Molecular Medicine and Bioengineering (IMB), as well as Institute of Bioinformatics and Systems Biology. CBT aims to address the current global challenges and construct a healthy, affordable, and sustainable society through the concepts and approaches of Engineering Bioscience: linking biotechnology, ICT, and computational biology from the molecular level to study fields such as precision medicine, translational engineering, and sustainable technology. CBT is the pioneer in NYCU at the interface of biology-chemistry, -physics, and -engineering. As such, CBT has numerous outstanding achievements in bio-electronics and biosensing, bioinformatics, biomaterials, tissue engineering, microbial engineering, synthetic biology, structural biology, and neurotechnology.

Application requirements:
Applicant should share a similar vision and goal as CBT and has an outstanding record in cutting edge research and teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels. The candidates we are looking for should have a research expertise in (but not limited to) bio-electronics and biosensing, biomaterials, organoid and tissue engineering, cell therapy, computational biology, microbiome, synthetic biology, molecular imaging or any other related disciplines.
In addition, successful candidates will be required to teach courses in English for the first three years of his or her appointment.
